MD Anderson Cancer Center is one of the world’s most respected centers devoted exclusively to cancer patient care, research, education and prevention.
CHALLENGE: Planning travel and navigating other complex variables, such as making wire transfers and organizing medical documents, caused immense stress for patients and their caregivers. We built empathy with over 50 international cancer patients and their caregivers to understand what they needed to make their travel less painful so they could focus on their cancer treatment.

Our strategic focus was to deliver a patient-centered digital experience that reduces non-clinical barriers before, during, and after care treatment, so international patients and their caregivers can focus on their health and healing. This was a project informed by continuous patient research.
Ambassador target three key problem areas that affect patients and caregivers as well as MD Anderson.
Minimal Internationalization: Insufficient international considerations, encompassing culture, linguistics, and regulatory aspects of content, result in a strain on both human
and physical resources.
Communication Gap: International patients tend to disengage after the initial contact, with a notable weakness in emotional connection and confidence.
Fragmented Information: International patients struggle with information retrieval across diverse channels, impacting satisfaction and trust when answers to their questions remain elusive.
